Juan and Mia are two kids who live in different countries; both of them though receive a visit from a faceless stranger each night, a horrible being that wants to take them away. The strange presence grows frightening, until the children’s parents see it as well. “Intruders vindicates my love for the visual universe that comes from what is most hidden, from the ghosts that are buried in our unconscious. […] A little while ago, I heard one of the best definitions for that oppressive feeling in the chest, the one that barely lets you breathe, from someone I barely knew. ‘It’s the feeling that appears when you’re not in control of your life.’ That wise stranger left me perplexed; not only do I think that the definition fitted perfectly with that physical reaction common to the millions who suffer from unease, but I had finally found the premise for the terror that affects the protagonists of the story I was working on: Intruders”.
