Cristiana Capotondi will be the Patroness of the 42nd Torino Film Festival, which will take place November 22-30, 2024 in Turin.
The actress will join Artistic Director Giulio Base in hosting the opening night, taking place on the evening of November 22 in the splendid setting of Turin’s Teatro Regio.
Considered one of the most beloved actresses of her generation, Cristiana Capotondi is also a director, voice actor, environmental activist, cultural entrepreneur, and always attentive to women’s issues. As a performer, she boasts a hugely successful career, with more than fifty films to her credit, directed by internationally renowned directors such as Ferzan Özpetek, Roberto Faenza, Pupi Avati, Paolo Genovese, Carlo Mazzacurati, Michele Placido and Terry Gilliam.
In addition to being the 42TFF Patroness, Cristiana Capotondi will have her own Carte Blanche where she will meet the audience to introduce a film that has particularly marked her personal and professional life.
