The Torino Film Festival pays homage to Lietta Tornabuoni, the historic and unforgettable signature of the newspaper La Stampa with a meeting that will feature Natalia Aspesi together with Stefano Francia di Celle, Piera Detassis and Rita Di Santo.
The appointment is for tomorrow, 22 November 2020 at 17:15 live streaming on the Youtube channel of TFF. Lietta’s personality and refined style will be remembered, retracing together with Natalia Aspesi, a decades-long friendship between two women who considered themselves friends, colleagues, sisters and accomplices.
The tribute will also be an opportunity to present the book Quando scriveva Lietta realized by the National Cinema Museum in collaboration with La Stampa, which collects some of its most representative articles.
“At first Lietta and I were sent to festivals to play the frivolous part, not the critics, they went to tell how the directors and the stars were dressed – says Natalia Aspesi. The work of the critic, the real one, was done by the illustrious pens of our newspapers. We were inseparable, we had so much fun watching movies and writing, there was no competition maybe because we wrote for different newspapers. Over the years Lietta has become the official film critic of La Stampa, no longer limited to the presence at festivals but dealing with the cinema in all its declinations”.
