Cristiana Capotondi is the Patroness of the 42nd Torino Film Festival, which will be held in Turin from November 22-30, 2024.
The actress will accompany the TFF’s Artistic Director Giulio Base as they conduct the festival’s opening evening, which will take place on November 22 in the splendid setting of the Teatro Regio di Torino.
Considered one of the most popular actresses of her generation, Cristiana Capotondi is also a director, dubber, sports manager, and cultural entrepreneur who has always paid close attention to women’s issues. Her acting career has been enormously successful, with over fifty movies to her credit, directed by internationally-renowned filmmakers such as Ferzan Özpetek, Roberto Faenza, Pupi Avati, Paolo Genovese, Carlo Mazzacurati, Michele Placido, and Terry Gilliam.
Besides her role as patroness of the 42TFF, Cristiana Capotondi will also conduct her own Carte Blanche, during which she will meet with the audience as she presents and introduces a movie that has had a special impact on her personal and professional life.
