Asia Argento protagonist of the performance Trabalho de Concentração

01 December 2017
Trabalho de Concentração that literally means “work of concentration” in Portuguese, is the name of the performance presented by Asia Argento last night at Cinema Massimo, directed by Bertrand Bonello, Joana Preiss and Emma De Caunes.

A ceremony of liberation, already put in practice during the fashion week in Paris in 2015, that talks about the work needed to heal through images, light effects and dance steps. A mystic ritual to “reanimate” women: a message that healing from a life made only of outward appearance and thus of sadness is possible.

The performance, intimate and intense, began after all the audience in the theater had sat down. A red fixed light, electronic music, and Asia, contemporary priestess of a ritual of purification. Vocals, screams, litany, small dance steps introduced the name of the goddess Lady Jasus, to whom they pronounced these vows: She shall free us from all evil.

At the end of the process, Asia Argento thanked her collaborators and the Torino Film Festival.
